I had a hard time figuring out what color Missouri Wash is. If you are considering NYDJ in this color, it is a very dark blue with more of a gray undertone vs. bright blue. It's more dressy than most other jeans in the blue family. These jeans are longer than other NYDJ I have. I need to give them a little cuff with flat shoes. I'm about 5'6". Other than that, they seem to have the same fit as my other NYDJ.Finally here's a big tip: do not put NYDJ in the dryer. I bought a pair a year or two ago and a couple of weeks ago one of the belt loops ripped right out of the jeans as I was pulling them on. After just a year or two, the material is wearing out all over the jeans as well. I was angry about the quality of the jeans and then checked all of my NYDJ and they all say to hang dry. I love the fit of NYDJ and am going to be hanging to dry going forward. If I find they still aren't holding up over time, I may find another brand to love, but until then, this is my go to brand for jeans.I love these jeans, but you must know your size for the brand. Do my buy on line if you've never tried them on in a store!! I am only giving a 4 star rather than a 5 because of the sizing. I am 5'6" and 170lbs, and I wear a 12-14 in most brands. The "glamour" sizing on these has me in an 8! It is quite ridiculous. However, once you know your size, they are great. As a teacher, I don't want to even come close to jeans that show butt crack. These fit well and the stretch helps them fit in all the right places. I have large hips and thighs. This results in a huge waist gap in most jeans, and these are the exception. I'm up to three pairs now, and I'm sure I'll be back for more. These are my second and third pair. I bought two different sizes for different purposes. Both are comfortable. I'm almost 5'4, 145, a little round in the middle. Not tall enough for regular sizes, not short enough for petites. The 10's fit like boyfriend jeans, the 8's are more form-fitting, but still not tight. I have to roll them up. I could hem the sleeker ones to wear with heels, but I won't as that would mean work and probably uncomfortable shoes, neither of which I would purposely seek. The length is the only real problem I have with these, and maybe the price. My friends say my expectation to pay less than $50 for jeans that are comfortable and don't look like mom jeans is unrealistic.I love these jeans! The first time I tried a pair on I had 2 other brands of jeans in the fitting room. I put these on and I was stunned looking in the mirror. I was like wow these really look good on me, my butt looked lifted and my tummy flatter. They are a little higher waisted so no muffin top, but not too high that you feel like a granny. They just feel so good and comfortable on. I had never heard of nydj, so I was a quite shocked by the price. I do think they are worth the price, but the average person is not going to spend 130$ on jeans! So I was very thankful for the wonderful sale on Amazon! The most important and exciting detail for me.....this time when I put on the jeans, I noticed a big tag on the inside that said Made in the USA! Now I'm really going to tell all my friends!I have another pair of NYDJ dress pants in size 8P, and found them to be a little bit too short in length to wear with heels, and a little bit loose in the waist, so for these I tried a 6 regular. They were MUCH too long and still a little loose, so I'd say overall these run big. As a result, I had to return them. But the quality seems good otherwise! Fabric was smooth and did not seem like it would wrinkle easily. Also, the stripe down the side of each leg adds a little interest while still being professional. The leatherette piping around the waist and pockets adds a nice style touch. The fabric is fairly heavy, which I prefer, and very soft. The only reason they didn't get the 5th star is due to the length. I am 5'4" and will need to have about 1 1/2" removed from the length by a tailor. Generally, when I buy this brand, the petite sizes are too short and the regular sizes are too long, so my only option is to buy the regular size of this brand.I have many pairs of these jeans. I don't find much consistency in sizes, but when a pair fits, they fit great. In stores I need to try three sizes for nearly every purchase. I suggest you buy a couple sizes and send back the ones that don't fit.The fabric of these jeans is very thin, more of lightweight summer pants than jeans. It also has quite a bit of stretch. The blue color is a little bright after just a few washings. I hope it fades a bit. I wouldn't go as far as to say it was blueberry blue, but still a bit brighter than I thought from looking at the picture. It is definitely not a dark wash.I have one pair of NYDJ Marilyn Straight Leg Jeans in a size 4 that I love. The fabric is not too heavy, not too light. They have some stretch but hold their shape. This pair -- despite being the same style & size -- are made from very thin fabric. When I tried them on, I thought I'd they'd be great for summer. Unfortunately, the stretch in this thin fabric is not resistant enough to have firming power for my tummy for more than an hour or two. By the end of the day the jeans so stretched out, they're sagging below my tush & riding so much lower on my waist that I step on the hem.Huge for the size I ordered.
