These gunfighter jeans are great even if you don’t carry an AR around on the daily. I did not follow wash instructions on purpose. I washed them in warm water and baked them hardcore in my drier. If there was shrinkage to be had...this would do it. Minimal shrink, certainly not down a size in the waist and the length stayed put. Strong jeans! I was concerned that the jeans are 50% cotton (not mentioned on Viktos website)The Cordura in the jeans and crotch is magic. I think Viktos is onto something. I appreciate the AR mag shaped hip pockets...even though they end up carrying my badge/wallet and cell phone, freeing up other pockets. They are a little baggier than expected (I’m 6’2” and 220) but they can work with a sport coat if need be. Great with dress boots or casual. In suit pants I’m a 38w 32L all day. I did 38W 34L in jeans because I wanted to roll a cuff and compensate for the feared shrink that did not happen. The 38W allows me to carry my firearm with an IWB holster nice and comfy. OTB holster is great but I have to cinch in the belt tight to keep the pants up. Most comfortable waistband on the planet. Well thought out function for carrying weight on the hips. Mag/coin pocket is nice but it fits a knife more comfortably. If I go with a second pair, I will try 36w 32L. This pair I would use with no cuff and no IWB holster for sport coat use and no cinching. Personally I like to buy bigger because worst case I can get them tailored. $150 jeans that become too small over time is no bueno. Thanks Viktos! They had a good price one day (compared to the normal $150) so I jumped on it and I am pleased with my purchase, though it's hard to justify the full price tag. The fit is loose but not baggy and still could be used with a blazer just fine for a semi casual event. The crotch is...well it takes some getting used to because your brain knows that you're wearing jeans but when you sit down the crotch is more of a sweatpant material so you end up...printing...but due to the material it's far more breathable so no complaints! The extra hip pockets are quite roomy and can be used for various applications, and work well for their advertised purpose as well. Overall I recommend giving these a shot next time they're on sale!I took a chance on buying several pairs of these jeans and I am so glad I did! They are great jeans and fit just right.
