Im in my early 70's and still style and fit is very important to me and will always be even after im gone. I appreciate comfort alot more now so when i find style and comfort its so appreciated and im still looking good. These are very comfortable and I'm glad I took a chance on them. They are thicker and more substantial than yoga pants or pajama pants (they would be too heavy to use literally as pajama pants). They look and feel more like stretchy skinny jeans. They appear to be a finely ribbed knit. If you look at them from 4 feet away or less you can see very narrow ribbing lines, much thinner than corduroy lines. I think it looks good given the color. The faded 'stone wash' look was exactly as in the picture.I will comment a bit on how they fit on me for the benefit of women who might be a similar size. I'm 5'6" and 110 ten pounds, have a mommy pouch (not a narrow waist), and have a relatively flat bottom. I'm not curvy or hourglass shaped, I have more of a boyish figure. I usually wear a size 2 (US) in women's pants, a size 5 in junior's pants, and a 26 or 27 in waist sized jeans. I have a 30-31" inseam. I chose an X-small and it works fairly well for me although just a tad loose. An XXS might work better, but I'm afraid it may be less comfortable and harder to put on (update: I tried XXS and it was way too small). The waist was a bit too loose on me in XS but I could adjust it with the drawstring if I wanted (I don't bother tying the drawstring since I don't tuck in my shirt). The waist is 2" below my navel. In inseam, I might have preferred 1 inch less but they don't touch the floor and the extra inch will guard against shrinkage. With my 5'6" height, they were about .5-1" longer than on the woman in the photo. The XS allowed me to pull it over my hips in 1-2 seconds. I wouldn't have wanted pants where it took me many seconds to take off and put on every time I used the bathroom. They are slightly harder to get on than yoga pants or pajama pants since less stretchy, but are still more stretchy than my other stretchy jeans that have zippers. The XS ones feel perfect for me on days I'm sitting a lot (since they are not constricting in the knees) but if I'm going out on the town I might prefer ones that are more painted-on. (Update: I tried the XXS, and they were so much smaller I couldn't even get them over my hips, XXS is like a 00 might fit a preteen only). On a person with slim or average lower calves and ankles, these are skinny jeans, not jeggings because there is about 1.5 inches of looseness at the ankle. In other words, they don't look like tights. With these jeans you would not want to tuck in your shirt because the top of the zipper looks fake and there is no button or belt loops to help with the realism. That is fine with me since I usually wear untucked shirts with jeans anyway. I think they should make another version of this with 1" higher rise that has belt loops and a button above the fake zipper, and that would make it practical for wearing with shirt tucked in.With my slender build, they were low rise but not too much so, there was no problem with showing too much (like a plumber) when sitting down. The best thing is the faded color which makes them look like denim jeans. All faded jeans these days seem to be more faded in the butt and thighs and the same is true with these, maybe that's the trending style but I would prefer a bit more even fading. So far they seem to bounce back and not become baggy. Update: after trying them on again just now, I do believe they have stretched a little to be somewhat bigger all over than the first time I put them on, but still not bagging unevenly in the knees or anything like that. They did not retain a chemical smell (which seemed to originate from the plastic mailing bag) after being washed. All of the pockets (front and back) are real and functional.Overall, I love them. I always avoided pajama jeans in the past because formerly they were only available in dark navy rinse color which I don't prefer in regular jeans either.Fit as expected . Nice dark color. It runs a little more on the small side.I bought these after reading all the reviews that said they were more like straight leg jeans than skinny jeans, and happily found those reviews to be correct! However, I'm having trouble settling on a size/length, and I'm not sure if I'm keeping these or not.I typically wear petite size 4 in jeans. I'm 5'5" but have a longer torso, and I prefer inseams of just under 30".I ordered these in petite small, regular small, and petite medium. The regular length in black, and the petite lengths in "new black". Regular length does not come in new black as far as I can tell. The petite small fit perfectly except for the length - when I bend my legs they don't completely cover my ankles (not what I like). The petite medium had the perfect length and the width on the legs was acceptable though maybe a little big, but they were way too big at the top.The description implies that all sizes are the same length, but I did not find that to be true. I measured the inseams, and the medium was about 1 inch longer than the small. The regular length small fit perfectly, though just a little too long. The regular length can easily be folded to the right length due to the thinner leg openings (the boot leg pajama jeans will not stay when folded up), however these don't come in "new black" which I unfortunately like a lot better. Regular black looks cheaper (although the fabric still feels just as nice, so this is probably just personal preference). While the "new black" could pass as dress pants, the "black" look more like jeans, they're more textured and not quite as black as new black. I really wish the regular length came in new black!!I also wanted to mention that the pockets in the skinny PajamaJeans are bigger than the pockets in the boot leg PajamaJeans. I love the pockets!!! I love the comfort too, but I don't know if I will be keeping any of these.I am tempted to order another petite small just to see if they are longer than the first pair (the first pair also had a defect in the left front pocket so maybe they're just bad?), because then they would be perfect, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort to return yet another pair.Ultimately, these are just too expensive to not be perfect. For 20 dollars I'd be happy to settle, but not for 40 or more! So.. I still haven't decided!I ordered an XL thinking its the same as a 1X but it isn't. They don't fit. And there is not one pair of jeans available in a 1X except orange and I don't want orange jeans. I have been wearing pajama jeans for about 7 years now and the last year and a half - NO LARGE SIZES AVAILABLE. I guess these are now only jeans for skinny people, just like the ones at the mall. I'm very sad about this. I really loved pajama jeans and the way they fit.I had to return because they were too short for my sister. She is 6 feet tall, and these came to herupper ankle. Other than that, they were nice. The color is good, faded in all the right places, toflatter the butt and the legs. They are very soft, too. But they were too short for my very tall sister. There's drawstring if they are too big in the waist.I usually don't write reviews. However, I was very impressed with these petite pajama jeans and realized that this purchase deserves a review. I always dream about the pull up jeans which would be a combo of jeans and pajama, these jeans are close to what I dreamed of. It could be more stretchy around the waist.I like that they also have petite size for some one like me. Loved the relaxed fit. These are going to be great for my home office work attire this winter. I like that these skinny jeans are not super skinny around the calves, I find most of the skinny jeans are super skinny around the calves. Overall great pair of jeans and thanks for the innovation! These are awesome! I work in a greenhouse, and I work hard. Lots of bending, lifting, and getting dirty. I ordered according to the size chart and was worried theyd be a little small as I was at the top of that size, but they fit nice. I dont notice the stretch out others talked about and I move a LOT in these jeans. They wash really well, but I cant dry them because I'm worried theyd shrink and be too short. I have very long legs though. I will be buying more of these. They're perfect for work and I'd personally have no trouble wearing them out either so long as I wore my shirt over.Run slightly big, draw string help's keep them up. A smaller size though I feel would be too small, an in between size would be nice which I don't think exists in any jean's or pant's I've ever bought. I love that the leg length is just right, I've never had a pair of jean's that didn't walk on. Happy overall! They had a very strong sulpher smell to them when they came out of the packaging. I washed them numerous times and could never get the smell out, so I ended up getting rid of them after a couple months.Arrived quickly. Ordered a size down and they fit perfectly. Love the colour and matches as shown on site. I didn’t need it but also comes with built in draw string at waist.
